This hotel is in Pontresina, a short drive or train ride from St Moritz. It's a convenient hub for many hikes in this region, particularly Morteratsch and Val Roseg.

This hotel participates in the "Engadin Inclusive" offers. With a two night stay in summer, you get public transport and mountain railways for free.

We found the prices here a bit more affordable than in St Moritz. The rooms were a little old fashioned but comfortable and had a great mountain views. For hotel guests, they have a sauna and steam bath.

The breakfast buffet was fantastic and I'd go back just for that. We also enjoyed their fall "wild" menu, with the classic spätzli and game meat.

For families, they can add a cot or bed to some rooms. They also have rooms with connecting internal doors to accommodate larger families. Best to contact them directly to request that.

They offer a free shuttle to and from the Pontresina train station, which is a bit far for walking. They have a few parking spaces (reserve for a fee), but we parked instead in a nearby garage (street parking is short term metered).
