While hiking the Schynige Platte ridge trail, you can do a short detour to an observation deck on the Oberberghorn, a mountain peak with a height of 2,230 meters.

To reach the viewpoint, it's about 10 mins on a dirt path and steep wooden staircases. At the top, there is a fenced viewpoint that gives a dramatic bird's eye view of the trail.

It's a little extra effort, but well worth in our opinion.
