This mountain restaurant & hotel is a short walk from the Schynige Platte mountain train station.

You can dine on a big outdoor terrace with panorama views across the Jungfrau Region and Interlaken. If it's chilly, they have plenty of indoor seating with large windows to let in the view.

This is a great place to enjoy the views after your hike or if you aren't hiking at all. They have a self-service buffet on the lower terrace and table service at the Panorama restaurant upstairs.

I like to have coffee and cake here before we get on the trail. If you are really hungry, you can enjoy their breakfast buffet until 9:30.

Mountain Hotel

The hotel would be a particularly special place for an overnight, where you can enjoy the sunset and stars in relative solitude since day trippers must leave on the last train before 6pm.

They have a "Dine and Sleep" offer that includes your train ride, 4-course meal, and overnight.
