This chair lift runs between the Stoos village to the Fronalpstock viewpoint, restaurant, short panorama trail, and start of Fronalp Trail. If you are hiking the ridge trail, your trail ends here and you can take the easy way down to Stoos.

It is a series of two chairlifts. The chairs fit four people. There is a safety bar with foot rests and a transparent bubble for warmth and security.

Open: summer season May to October, daily 9:00 to 16:00, sometimes to 17:30. May close at short notice due to high winds. Check opening times and status.

To get there: From the Stoos funicular station, it's a 8 min walk through the village to reach the chairlift. Follow signs pointing to Fronalpstock Sesselbahn. See location on map.

Tickets

The chairlift is included in the Stoos Peak Experience ticket (aka Tageskarte). If necessary, you can purchase tickets just for the chairlift at the funicular or chairlift ticket office.

Tickets do not sell out and you do not need a reservation.

Discount with Swiss Travel Pass, Swiss Half Fare Card, and GA. Free with Lucerne Tell Pass.
