This gondola travels between the mountain village Beatenberg and the Niederhorn viewpoint. It's the second part of the journey, after riding the funicular train up from the lake.

Location: Beatenberg - there are a few parking spots next to the gondola. But best reached by funicular from Beatenbucht.

Open: usually May to mid November. Check current schedule.

Timetable: runs every 10 mins, starting at 8:25. Last ride down varies by season.

This gondola has four groups of three small cabins that fit 17 people each. Because of the small capacity, there can be a wait on busy weekends.

Tickets

Usually you buy your ticket at the funicular station, which also includes this gondola. When you transfer from the funicular to the gondola, you will scan your ticket again to board the gondola.

If you are planning to hike, you could end your hike at the Vorsaas middle station. In this case, your ticket might be cheaper.

Explain your plans at the ticket office so you get the correct ticket.
