This short loop around the Stanserhorn peak visits a few viewpoints, allowing you to enjoy the full panorama experience.

How to get there

From Stans, ride the Stanserhornbahn funicular and cable car to the peak.

The cable car drops you off at the restaurant. From there, follow signs for "Gipfelrundweg". We suggest going counter-clockwise, starting by walking up to the tallest viewpoint on the peak with a fenced in observation deck.

Then continue the walk to the "Eagle's Nest" on the far side of the peak. Then loop back on a path cut into the side of the mountain.

It's easy walking on a wide path. There are some stairs to reach the peak. If you can't manage the stairs, you can stay on the lower trail which is obstacle free and flat.
