Note: The lower section Schrekfeld - Bort is often closed due to lack of snow.
Conditions: live status • webcams • Grindelwald forecast
How to get there
In Grindelwald, get to the Grindelwald First gondola (bus stop Grindelwald, Firstbahn). Ride up to the First station at the top, about 30 mins.
By car: park at the Grindelwald Sportzentrum parking garage, then walk 10 mins to gondola.
Tickets
If you plan to sled multiple times, buy a Jungfrau Region Sledding Day Pass, which gives you unlimited rides on the gondola during the day.
If you want to sled once (perhaps after sightseeing), then buy a one way ticket to Grindelwald First. At the end of the sledding you can buy a one way ticket down to Grindelwald.
Sled rental
You can rent sleds near the Gondola First valley station at Buri Sport - Dorfstrasse 181, 3818 Grindelwald. We find that the "Alu-Rodel" gives the best ride.
Intersport also rents sleds and winter clothing. They have a sports shop at the First station. Email to inquire.
