This popular viewpoint is a must-visit photospot if you are driving between Lucerne and Interlaken. It has a fantastic view of Lake Lungern, the cute villages along the lake, alpine meadows, and mountain peaks. Exactly what you expect Switzerland to look like.

There is a tiny parking area on the side of the road, often filled with cars and sometimes a tour bus. But don't let that deter you. You'll definitely want a photo here. So just squeeze in and get your shot.

There is also a little informal parking area on the other side of the road. But it can be very dangerous crossing the busy road to reach the viewpoint. So do so very carefully and quickly, keep children close. On my last visit, a car backed up straight into me as I was trying to reach the viewpoint.
