A lovely loop trail in the foothills near Basel, with a lush forest and panorama views across the idyllic Swiss countryside. Particularly beautiful in fall when the trees are changing colors.

This hike is part of my fall hiking tradition, usually done around the 15th of October. I usually eat lunch at the Vogelberg Mountain Restaurant.

How to get there

The trail starts at the top of the Reigoldswil-Wasserfallen gondola - Oberbiel 60, 4418 Reigoldswil

Nearest bus stop: Reigoldswil, Dorfplatz, then short walk to gondola
