I've done this panorama trail a few times, but I like it best in fall when many of the trees turn bright yellow and red. It's in my regular rotation and I monitor the webcams carefully to hit it just right.

Trail Info

This trail is a loop, starting at the Grötzenbüel gondola station, hiking up to Gumen, and back down. We usually stop at the Ortstockhaus hut for lunch.

You can make this easier by riding the Gumen chair lift up to the middle of the trail. Then hike down half of the trail (or in reverse if you prefer hiking up).

Other options

If you prefer not to hike at all, you can get great views by riding the chair lift up to Gumen and just wandering around the top taking pictures. There's a restaurant there with an outdoor terrace, one of the nicest places for refreshments you'll find in this area.
