The Staubbach Falls are located in the Lauterbrunnen village, the most famous of the 72 waterfalls in this valley. They are also the third tallest waterfall in Switzerland at 297m.
📍See Staubbach Falls on Google Maps.
The falls are located at the edge the village, no gondola or long hike required.
By public transport: From the Lauterbrunnen train station, it's a 12 min walk to the falls,
By car: park at the Kirche open parking which are directly across from the falls.
You can already see these falls as you start to walk through the Lauterbrunnen village. When you reach the base, you can optionally hike up a short dirt path to a closer viewpoint, which leads through a tunnel to a lookout behind the water.
When to visit: The best time to visit the falls is between April and August, when the water is flowing the most. No official opening hours.
Cost: Free. These falls are free to visit, no barrier to entry.
