The Mönchsjoch Hut is a mountain hut at 3657m near the Jungfraujoch visitor center. It is used primarily by mountain climbers, glacier hikers, and ski tourers who are exploring the area. But tourists are also welcome for overnight stays and visits during the day

To reach the hut, you must ride the Jungfrau Railway mountain train to Jungfraujoch (ticket purchased separately, no discount for overnight guests). Then hike about 45 mins on a snow trail to the hut.

Open: mid March through mid October.

Lunch

Food service for day guests is available from 10:00 - 15:00. No reservations for lunch. There can be a long wait during high season.

They have small typical hut menu that changes based on what is on hand (supplies are brought by helicopter). They typically have coffee, cakes, raclette, beer and local wine.

Overnight

They have 120 sleeping places. You must bring your own sleeping bag liner. Blankets and pillows are provided.

You must make a reservation. The current policy is that you can cancel or reschedule for free up to 18:00 the night before. Later than that, you must pay the full fee.

You can book with dinner and breakfast or without food. They can accommodate some dietary needs like vegetarian, gluten and lactose free. But you need to inform them in advance so they can be prepared.
