This trail starts at the top of the Wasserauen-Ebenalp cable car and hikes up to the Schäfler mountain hut, where you'll get an amazing view of the Schäfler ridge. You can have refreshments at the hut then return the way you came.

Although it's a mountain trail that require good fitness and steady footing, this trail is a safer option than the trail down to the Seealpsee or the full Schäfler ridge trail that has exposed areas with chains and ladders.

If you are comfortable with risk, you can continue past the hut on the ridge trail, ending at the Seepalpsee or other mountain huts in the area like Mesmer.
