You'll find the oldest Christmas market in Zürich on a charming cobblestone streets in the Niederdorf neighborhood.

There are about 70 market stalls sprinkled along the way from the Grossmünster cathedral to Hirschenplatz, with food, drink and gifts for sale. I call it the "Christmas Market Crawl," picking up whatever tasty snacks and drinks catch our imagination as we slowly stroll through the prettiest part of the city.

Near the Grossmunster, there's a adorable temporary fondue chalet, Fondue Alp, which would be a fantastic place for a special night out. Best to make a reservation. Note that they only have indoor seating.
