Freibad Marzili is an outdoor swimming area along the Aare river in Bern city.
It has a 50m lap pool, diving pool with 1m and 3m diving boards, two shallow recreation pools, and children's splash pad. There are large grassy lawns with shady spots for lounging, beach volleyball courts, ping pong tables (paddles and balls available to rent).
It also has direct access to the Aare river if you want to float in the river (no lifeguard, swim at your own risk).
It has changing rooms, lockers, toilets, and a cafe. There is a fee to enter the swimming area.

Hours: May 9:00 - 19:00, June to August 9:00 - 21:00 (open at 7:00 on weekdays)

How to get there
From the Bern train station, it's a 10 min walk to Freibad Marzili. It's a bit shorter if you use the Marzili funicular train.
