Fondue House Du Pont is a good place to eat fondue restaurants in Lucerne. We appreciate that they use tasty organic alpine cheese, while lower quality joints instead use cheaper lackluster industrial cheese.

They offer a variety of fondue flavors including traditional Moitié Moitié, Herb, Tomato, Truffel, Champagne, and Goat Cheese.

The fondue includes bread and potatoes for dipping. We usually also order pickled onions and cornichon and sometimes fruit and veggies to dip (apples and pineapple is surprisingly good dipped in fondue cheese).

You can order fondue for one. The per person price decreases as you order for more people.

They also offer Raclette, Fondue Chinoise, Fondue Bourguignonne, and even chocolate fondue for dessert (not common in Switzerland).

The restaurant has a beautiful setting, with a view of the river Reuss. While it's popular with tourists (especially big groups), you'll see plenty of Swiss people eating here too.
