The Oberhornsee is a remote alpine lake, hidden in the mountains at the far end of the Lauterbrunnen valley. You can do a short cold dip in the lake, but it's extremely cold so use caution.

We like to hike the lake while while staying at the Obersteinberg mountain hotel, 2 hours there and back.

But you could do this as a day hike from Stechelberg, an all day hike and quite challenging. Stop at Obersteinberg for lunch on your way back. .
