Sattel Hochstuckli is a small ski resort south of Zurich. It's popular for beginners and families in the surrounding villages since it's more affordable than bigger resorts.

Beginners will appreciate the nice snow garden with magic carpets and gentle practice hill with a drag lift. But there aren't any other ski lifts here anymore. So if you need more terrain, better go elsewhere.

We also like Sattel for their exciting 3.5km sled run and gorgeous winter trail with views across the Lake Lucerne region.

The ski resort is at a relatively low elevation, so sometimes they don't have great snow coverage. So check the piste status carefully before heading out.
