In Zürich, you can watch New Year's Eve fireworks over Zürich lake, starting just after midnight.

You can enjoy the fireworks for free anywhere along the lake near Zürich city. The Seeuferweg on the east side of Lake Zurich is a good place to stand because there are many places with easy access to the lake shore.
