Burgermeister makes our favorite burger in Zurich, with a juicy patty and buttery bun. The regular fries are great, but we usually order our preferred sweet potato fries.

The basic hamburger starts at CHF 15.50, a fair price in Switzerland, as "gourmet" burger places and Swiss restaurants typically charge CHF 25-35 for a burger.

In recent years, burger joints have popped up all over Zurich, but most are terrible and should be avoided. Burgermeister is definitely an exception and worth walking a few minutes extra to reach.

They have a few locations in Zurich. Burgermeister Kaserne is very near the main Zurich station, offering both takeaway and table service. Burgermeiser Oberdorf is in the old town, near Bellevue and Stadelhofen, good if you are doing a walking tour of Zurich. This location is counter service with indoor seating.
