Scooter routes
There are two scooter routes starting at the Vorsass station and ending at the Beatenberg station.
Rocky Run is 6 km long and takes about 30 mins. It's a paved route and not as steep, so easier to manage and suitable for families. We much prefer this route.
Happy Trail is longer, taking about 60-90 mins. It goes over unsurfaced forestry roads with uneven terrain and has more flat sections, but also some steep parts that can be difficult for younger kids. It finishes on the main road through the village.
Costs
The scooter rental costs CHF 15/person (2025 price).
You also need a ticket for the mountain transport to reach the Vorsaas station where the scooter run starts. Prices vary depending on how high up the mountain you want to go. See current prices.
Mountain railways are free with the Berner Oberland Pass. Discount with Swiss Travel Pass, SBB GA and Half-fare cards.
