The Furka Car Transport (aka "Autoverlad Furka") is a train that transports cars through a long tunnel under the Furka mountain pass. This allow you to skip the narrow, winding mountain road that travels over the pass.

It is commonly used for driving from the Lucerne or Graubünden regions to the Valais/Zermatt region.

To use the car transport, you purchase a ticket for your car (buy online). Then you drive your car to the tunnel entrance at Realp or Obergoms and drive your car onto the train as directed. You sit in your car as you travel through the tunnel.

Timetable The train runs every 30 mins on holidays and weekends (Fri-Sun) and every 60 mins on weekdays. Check timetable.

On weekends and holidays, there can often be a long wait at the tunnel. Check wait times.

If wait times are too long, you can drive over the Furka Pass instead.
