If you're a snowboarder passing through Banff, Rude Boys and Rude Girls on Caribou Street are mandatory stops. Rude Boys has been slinging boards since 1988, making it one of the oldest snowboard shops in Canada — and Rude Girls, its women 's-specific sister store, has been holding down the wall next door since 2000. Together, they share a tight, well-curated space that punches well above its square footage in selection, stocking boards, boots, bindings, outerwear, and accessories from all the best brands in the game.

What sets both shops apart is the staff. These aren't retail employees reading spec sheets — they're riders who know their product inside out, genuinely invested in getting you on the right setup for your style and ability. It's the kind of knowledgeable, no-nonsense service that's increasingly hard to find, and it's why so many Bow Valley locals — ourselves included — buy their boards and boots here year after year.

Both shops also operate online if you can't make it to Banff in person, but honestly, the in-store experience is half the appeal.
