Revelstoke has earned a reputation as one of BC's coolest mountain towns, and Mt. Begbie Brewing has been part of that story since 1996. Founded by Bart and Tracey Larson — whose honeymoon conversation reportedly went something like "hey, maybe we should open a brewery?" — the operation has grown from a small local microbrewery into one of BC's most respected craft beer names, now pouring across the province. Bart, a PhD nuclear physicist turned brewmaster, famously gave up a career in nuclear physics to make beer instead — a trade-off most visitors would agree was worth it.

The tasting room sits above town just off the Trans-Canada, with 16 taps, a solid food menu, and views to match the pints. Dog-friendly, family-friendly, and very much worth a stop on any drive through the Selkirks.
