Located just ten minutes east of Canmore, the Grotto Canyon trailhead offers a unique and quiet canyon experience in Kananaskis Country. The trail starts off uneventfully, passing by the Baymag processing plant, but quickly opens up to a stunning viewpoint of the Bow Valley.

As hikers enter the canyon, the rock walls rise up on either side, leading to ancient pictographs, a small waterfall, and a large cave opening further along the trail.
