The Logar Valley is a stunning glacial valley in northern Slovenia, surrounded by the dramatic peaks of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. It reminded us so much of Switzerland—and ended up being one of our favorite spots in the country. You can drive the panoramic road for incredible views, explore the valley foot through wildflower meadows and forested trails and hike to stunning waterfalls. We highly recommend staying at Hotel Plesnik for its peaceful setting and unreal views. It’s about a 1.5–2 hour drive from Ljubljana and well worth the trip.
