Then head down the road about another 10-15 minutes to Jokusarlon & the Diamond Beach.

Diamond Beach, located near Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon in Iceland, is a stunning stretch of black sand that’s famous for its sparkling ice chunks. These ice pieces, which have broken off from the nearby glacier, wash ashore and glisten like diamonds against the dark sand, creating a breathtaking contrast.

There are some sneaky waves here, so watch out for that. If you visit in the winter or earlier in the summer, you can find larger pieces of ice.

PHOTO TIP: Shoot this area either during blue hour for a moody aesthetic or during golden hour for the best lighting. If you arrive at night time, you won't be able to see any of the ice floating on the beach.

You are not allowed to fly a drone here without a permit.
