This was a really cool hike. Both Hengifoss & Litlanesfoss are on this trail. One of them has really cool basalt columns around it. The second one has this crazy red tint to the rocks around it. It was bigger than we anticipated, and the hike was a bit steeper than we anticipated also. We recommend allocating about 1.5-2 hours for this hike. Depending on how far you go, it’s around 3 miles round trip. We highly recommend wearing hiking shoes with good traction for this hike or using poles if you need them since it is slippery rock. Photo Tip: Fly your drone here! It's an awesome way to get a cool perpsective of all the striations in the rock on camera.
