Just a short detour off the main road, you'll find one of our local secrets, Gluggafoss or the 'Window Waterfall.' It's a stunning multi-tiered cascade famous for the unique holes and tunnels the water has carved into the soft rock, creating 'windows' you can see the flow through. A very short walk from the car park brings you to its base, where you can even slip behind the lower falls for a different perspective. For the best views, take the short, somewhat steep grassy path up the hillside; from the top, you'll see the upper falls and a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding landscape.
