Indjánahöfði, or Indian's Cape, is a unique and tranquil spot only 35 minutes from Reykjavík. It's located by Lake Kleifarvatn (which is overall a great area to explore and enjoy) and the perfect spot for family visits but also offers some interesting scenes for photographers. If you go down to the beach, you'll find a small cave and from above you can enjoy the stunning views of the peaceful Kleifarvatn lake!

QUICK NOTES:

  • What it is: A unique cape by Lake Kleifarvatn, Reykjanes.

  • Best season: Any (but summer is probably the most enjoyable)

  • Best time of day: Sunrise and daytime (the later it gets, the more you'll be in the shadows)

  • Nice to know: Make sure you don't miss the small cave by the tiny "private" beach. And if you're into cold water dipping, Kleifarvatn has some of the coldest water I've ever swam in.
