You can reach this spot from Zermatt on the Gornergrat rack railway, the highest open-air railway in Europe. At the summit, there's a hotel and an observatory with a cool telescope for stargazing. You can see glaciers, a lot of 4000er mountains and of course the Matterhorn! It's a must-visit for anyone looking to soak in some epic mountain scenery in Switzerland!

One Note from me: If you're looking to see the iconic shape of the Matterhorn, you're not going to see it like this from the top (compare pictures above). Otherwise I love going up there and just see the glaciers and soak on the terrace of the restaurant with a coffee.
