Loch Rannoch is arguably one of the sleeping giant areas of Scotland (and one we have tried to keep quiet).
A truly remote and breathtaking part of the country, Redhill Retreat is a new offering right on the loch for adults-only (but dogs are very much welcome). Three ultra private woodland cabins to choose from, each with their own unique interiors and views from the beds.
With a sauna to book out on site, farm animals you can feed, and multiple fire pits to sit and enjoy drinks by in the evening, you could be forgiven for just spending your time here.
But Loch Rannoch has so much to offer, including amazing restaurants, pubs, walks, wildlife, as well as not being too far from popular spots like Aberfeldy and Pitlochry. You can even take the scenic train ride from Loch Rannoch Station over the moor to The Green Welly Stop at Tyndrum for lunch - the gateway to Glencoe.
If you are looking to escape (some) of the crowds in peak times, this is the place to come. The perfect sanctuary to relax and recharge surrounded by incredible views and wildlife.
