Perched on a narrow shelf above the wild North Sea, the picturesque village of Crovie is an amazing spot to explore. The only way down to the village (for non residents) is by foot from the car park at the top of the headland - but even from here the views back are amazing.

Make your way down the (slightly steep, but flat) path from the car park though and you can get up close to what is one of Europe's best preserved 18th century fishing villages.

Today many of the homes you can now stay in, but it's easy to imagine what life would have been like those who were based here and the history of the village is fascinating.

If time, enjoy a walk along the footpath that winds around the cliff to Gardenstown for a bite to eat.
