The Thunder Knob Trailhead is located at Colonial Creek Campground along the North Cascades Highway. It offers an impressive view of Diablo Lake without a long or super strenuous hike. I would say it's doable for kiddos that are old enough to get out there, but not ready for something super challenging yet. Park near Colonial Creek campground, hit the trail, and get ready for a mini adventure in nature!
