Lake Schottensee is part of the famous "5-Seen-Wanderung", but it can also be reached as a single hiking goal. Take the cable car from Wangs to Pizolhütte (see link below). From there on, you the trail ascends only slowly, until a steeper part begins. After this, you're already overlooking lake Wildsee, which also is a pearl. Walk further and you can already spot lake Schottensee before you descend to it's shores. Enjoy your picknick there and maybe even take a swim. We can recommend it! Now you have the choice: You can hike back or even fulfill the whole 5-lakes hike, because you already did a third of it. It's up to you!
