Escape into the tranquil heart of Lombok at the Tetebatu Monkey Forest, a world away from the more crowded monkey forest in Bali. Here, you'll wander through a lush, protected jungle on the slopes of Mount Rinjani, home to wild black langurs and grey macaques. Unlike their city-dwelling cousins, these monkeys are shy and best observed from a distance (unlike those in Bali that like to steal phones and glasses), offering a truly authentic wildlife experience. The walk itself is a peaceful journey over jungle paths, which can be muddy, so be sure to wear good shoes.
