For one of the most incredible views in Lombok, you have to visit Bukit Selong. It's a short, though sometimes steep, 10 to 15-minute walk from the car park to the top, but you'll be rewarded with a breathtaking panorama of the colorful patchwork of rice fields in the Sembalun valley, with the majestic Mount Rinjani as a backdrop. The air up here is crisp and fresh, and if you can make it for sunrise, the light is absolutely magical for photos. There's a small entrance fee, so be sure to have some cash on hand.
