After several days of Serbian food, we found ourselves craving something different. We had recently been disappointed by an overpriced Italian restaurant that had been heavily recommended online, so this time we decided to ignore the hype and simply browse Google Maps ourselves đ€·ââïž.
That's how we found this small Georgian restaurant tucked away in a cozy basement space in Savski Venac.
Having traveled in Georgia before, we already knew how much we love the cuisine, so we arrived with high hopes. The reviews were promising, but after a few experiences where highly rated places hadn't quite lived up to expectations, we were still a little skeptical. đ
Then something immediately reassured us. A couple of Russian-speaking locals sat down nearby and mentioned that coming here for Georgian food was their Saturday tradition. At that point, we figured we were probably in the right place đ€.
The food took quite a while to arrive, but it quickly became obvious why. A Georgian family was preparing everything from scratch, and the wait was absolutely worth it.
The food was delicious đ. If you're visiting, definitely consider trying the khachapuri and khinkali, two Georgian classics that this place is particularly known for. Compared to what you'd pay in Georgia itself, the prices were naturally higher, but when the food is this good, it's hard to complain.
The staff were also incredibly kind and welcoming, making the whole experience even better.
If you're looking for a break from Serbian cuisine and want something genuinely comforting, homemade, and authentically Georgian, this place is well worth a visit.
