One of the most recognisable landmarks in Belgrade.
Standing proudly inside Kalemegdan Fortress, The Victor has become one of the city’s defining symbols. While the monument itself is impressive, what truly makes this spot special are the views.
From here, you can admire the confluence of the rivers, Belgrade Waterfront, New Belgrade’s blocks, and some of the best panoramas the city has to offer.
Whether you visit during the day or around sunset, this is one of those places that simply belongs on every Belgrade itinerary 😍
Special tip: There is a bench right in front (or behind, depends how you see it) of the Victor Statue, on a small hill, that offers one of the best elevated views of the sunset. It's often occupied, and for good reason.
We ended up sitting on a bench below it and patiently waited for someone to leave. The moment it became available, we rushed over to enjoy the last sunset of our trip from there. 🥹
It's also a wonderful spot for a romantic photo.
