Bakers Beach is located just north of Devonport on Tasmania’s north-west coast in the Narawntapu National Parl. This small, sandy beach is nestled along Bass Strait and offers calm waters, soft sand and a peaceful coastal setting — perfect for swimming, relaxing, or enjoying a quiet day by the water.

How to get there:

From Devonport, head north along Bass Highway (A1) and turn onto Bakers Beach Road. There’s a small parking area near the beach, with easy access to the sand and nearby grassy picnic spots. The beach is accessible by all vehicles.

Is it suitable for swimming?

Yes — Bakers Beach is ideal for swimming. Its calm, shallow waters make it safe for children and families, especially during summer months.

Can you see wildlife there?
