Location:

Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary is located near Mole Creek in northern Tasmania, approximately a 1.5‑hour drive from Launceston. Nestled in lush forest surroundings, the sanctuary is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating native wildlife while offering visitors an up-close experience with Tasmania’s unique animals.

Animals you can see in the sanctuary:

Tasmanian Devils, wombats, forrester kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, potoroos, quolls and a range of bird species.

Dogs allowed:

No, dogs are not permitted in the sanctuary to protect the wildlife.

Entry Fees:

  • Adults: ~ AU$28 

  • Concession: ~ AU$24 

  • Children (3–15 years): ~ AU$16 

  • Family (2 Adults + 2 Children): ~ AU$75 per one source

Trowunna is a privately owned sanctuary focused on conservation, education and wildlife rehabilitation. Its interactive daily tours (at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm) are included in the entry fee ans super informative. You get to see Tasmanian Devils being fed.
