Ollantaytambo, a town and Inca archaeological site in Peru, was once the royal estate of Emperor Pachacuti. It served as a stronghold for Manco Inca Yupanqui during the Spanish conquest. The town's layout includes a large plaza, terraces, storehouses, and ceremonial centers. Today, it's a popular tourist spot with ancient ruins and a starting point for the Inca Trail hike.
