Known as the Pool of Siloam, this salt lake in Beachport is said to be seven times saltier than the sea and it's actually believed by many to have therapeutic qualities. What makes it interesting is that, despite being so close to the ocean, the lake’s depth doesn’t change with the tides.

We usually find people swimming here during the warmer months and the high salt content does makes floating effortless, so it’s a fun and relaxing swim spot if you’re passing through! There’s a picnic area and parking right by the lake, and it’s also located along the Bowman Scenic Drive, making it an easy addition to a coastal road trip.
