Moyenne Island is a stunning island in the St Anne Marine Park, just off the coast of Mahe. Once privately owned by Brendon Grimshaw, a British conservationist who transformed it into a protected nature reserve, the island is now home to over 120 giant tortoises, roaming freely through the forests and along the beaches; there was even a baby tortoise nursery!

We highly recommend doing a baot trip here, it's an incredible island to visit with clear turqoise water. On a day trip, you can explore the island and it's gaint tortoise, the stunning beaches and have a BBQ creole lunch. We even got to visit some more remote beaches on our way back to Mahe!
