Raan Jay Fai is a one-of-a-kind Michelin Star restaurant located in Phra Nakhon, Bangkok. Founded by Supinya Junsuta in the 1980s, the restaurant quickly became famous as a popular tourist destination, with lines wrapping around the sidewalk. The restaurant serves up classic Thai dishes such as crab omelette and Tom Yum soup, but the meals come with an exclusive pricetag. Despite the hefty cost, diners are blown away by the flavourful food, prepared by the legendary 75 year-old chef, Junsuta. Additionally, it is one of only two street food vendors in the world with a Michelin star rating, making it a must-try for any food enthusiast visiting Bangkok. Bookings are essential (if possible), and expect to wait a long time (sometimes up to 3-4 hours!) before getting served as Jai Fai is cooking every dish herself.
