The Atomic Bomb Dome, also known as the Genbaku Dome, is a preserved ruin in Hiroshima, Japan that serves as a memorial to the devastating effects of nuclear warfare. It was the only structure left standing near the epicenter of the atomic bombing in 1945. Despite being targeted for demolition, the building's durable design allowed it to survive the blast and remain intact. Today, it stands as a powerful symbol of peace and remembrance in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.
