Ancient Buddhist temple in Japan

Taima-dera is a cool Buddhist temple in Katsuragi, Japan. Legend has it that it was built way back in 612 by some royal folks. The temple's main deal is Maitreya Bodhisattva, but the real star of the show is the Taima Mandala, a rad representation of the Sukhavati Pure Land. Plus, they've got these twin pagodas from like forever ago, and the gardens are famous for peonies in May and lotus blooms in June. It's a chill spot for Pure Land Buddhists to vibe out and soak up some spiritual goodness.
