Nara Park is a massive park on the foot of Mount Wakakusa, and a popular destination for both tourists and locals alike. It's home to numerous magnificent temples and shrines, as well as playful deer who freely roam around the park. Visitors can also feed carp in Sarusawa Pond, or take a stroll along its illuminated pathways during Setsubun Mantoro. Most famous however, is the Great Buddha Hall at Todaiji, which contains the largest bronze statue of Buddha in the world. Art and history lovers will find plenty to appreciate, such as Kofukuji's 50-meter tall pagoda, and the art collection at the Nara National Museum. All these stunning sights make Nara Park a truly unforgettable place.
