Kotoku-in is a Buddhist temple in Kamakura, Japan, known for its iconic Great Buddha statue. This massive bronze statue of Amitābha stands at 13.35 meters tall and weighs around 93 tons. Visitors can even peek inside the hollow statue, though some graffiti has been left behind. Despite facing natural disasters over the centuries, including earthquakes and storms, the Great Buddha continues to stand as a symbol of reverence and history in the serene temple grounds.
