Takaya Shrine is a must-visit destination in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. It sits atop Mt. Inazumi at an altitude of 404 meters (1326 feet) and offers breath-taking views of the Seto Inland Sea, making it nicknamed as "the torii gate in the sky." This shrine is said to bring bearers luck with money, has a unique vending machine selling goods, and is known as one of Japanese spiritual spots. From Gegu (the lower shrine), visitors start by walking a 1.5 kilometer distance until they reach the summit. There are also shuttle buses to the summit parking lot on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Nearby Takaya Shrine, there are other popular sightseeing attractions, such as Chichibugahama beach, Zenigata Sunae, Kotohiki Kairo, and more. Visitors can enjoy the stunning views from the shrine, take memorable photos, and complete their trip with shopping and delicious meals.
